👋 If you sent a “thinking of you” text: Follow up with another photo, meme, or memory. Say:
“Can’t believe we dressed like that.” “Lucky there was no social media back then.” “You’re still the only one who thought this was a good idea — and I respect that.”
📅 If you started a plan: Lock it in. No more vague vibes. Try:
“Still good for Thursday? I already hired a sitter.” “I got spousal buy-in and everything. Don’t make me waste it.” “I literally got a haircut for this. We’re doing it.”
🧠 If you said something real: Text:
“Still thinking about what you said...genuinely helpful.” “I need your chill energy this week. I’m one email from rage-quitting.” “Honestly, I just needed a delulu pump-up and you delivered.”
📞 Feeling bold? Make the call. Say:
“You around for a quick catch-up call? I promise it’s not a FaceTime.” Or don’t say anything. Leave a hilarious voicemail. You’ll both remember it.
Why this works: This isn’t Day 1 energy anymore. This is what maintenance looks like. This is how it sticks.
